Indy Pediatric Occupational Therapy (IPOT) is a participating in-network provider of Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Sagamore, CIGNA, and United Healthcare, for Occupational Therapy. For all other insurance companies we are an out-of-network provider.
You may have a benefit for an out of network provider or belong to a POS/PPO plan that covers outside facilities. However IPOT may not be covered by these insurance companies due to the fact that we are not hospital affiliated and a private facility.
If your insurance has told you that they will pay for our services, IPOT will provide you with appropriate statements that you may seek reimbursement. If your insurance company has declined payment, we suggest that you still initiate sending a bill to your insurance company since sometimes they will pay the benefit despite the denial. IPOT does not bill insurance companies except for Anthem Blue/Cross Blue Shield, Sagamore, CIGNA, and United Healthcare.
Common Financial Questions:
1. Do we need a referral from our physician to come to IPOT for services?
Indy Pediatric Occupational Therapy does require you to have a medical doctor refer you for services and will assist you in getting the physician referral from your pediatrician.
2. When do I need to pay for OT services
If Indy Pediatric Occupational Therapy is a participating provider of your insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Sagamore, CIGNA, and United Healthcare) you are required to pay your co-payment or deductible amount, at the time of service.
All other clients need to pay in full at the time of service. For those out of network clients we are happy to provide you with an invoice that you may use to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
